BBQ

Wednesday, November 15, 2006

Hi all,
Ya,last Saturday we had a very nice BBQ. It was drizzling the whole day, and the BBQ started off even it was still drizzling, but it stopped after everything got heated up in the BBQ. Starting the fire was quite a problem,we burnt the aluminium foil. (oops) but we eventually got the fire started. Generally most people who came were interns and alumni. Just few freshies attended. Everybody is too bz preparing for exams I think. The BBQ was nice, we had some good time chatting with seniors and interns and alumni. Wats more?? Thanks to Khim, who got a guitar from somewhere, Imran played and sang and he is the entertainer of the night!! woohoo...

For those who missed it, hmm... too bad... maybe someone can post up the pics in the blog to show pple the BBQ. And good luck for the exams pple.

BBQ

So sorry for those who didn’t come for the BBQ on Saturday... We had great fun on that evening! Thanks for Khim Nyang, our “gentleman” in AIESEC, who brought us loads and loads of great food. So is grandpa, he sponsored us with the bread and chips. Jason helped us to set up the fire, while nobody else seemed to know more than he does about BBQ! He’s indeed our chief cook. Thank you Jason!

Not only did we have delicious food on that day, many trainees from different countries also came and joined us. Made a lots of new friends then. We chatted and drank and ate. Oh, and grandpa even sang a few songs, hehe. It really feels like AIESEC is a big family and we are all close to each other. I enjoy every minute I spend with you guys. :)

    Hey AIESEC!!

What’s up everyone? I know that exam’s coming so it’s time to study hard and….PLAY hard as well!!

Therefore, last Saturday, LC NUS organized a BBQ at the PGP. For those who came.. it was a blast right? It's nice to hang out with all the @ers again..nice food and nice ambience (of course, thanks to the EBs again). I also want to thank the trainees’ who came down. Nice interactions.

For those who didn’t come, it’s ok.. because the NLDS is coming up!! Have u sign up? Better hurry up ya..

(Justine is in 1st year FASS. Our LC BBQ was held on the 4th of November 630pm to 1030pm, with close to 30 people attending. Thanks everyone. - Imran)

    NUS Pre-Exam BBQ

    Friday, November 10, 2006

    Hi pple!

This is about the NUS Pre-Exam BBQ (duh :P), it has been finalized:

Date: 11 Nov 2006 (11/11, date of release of PS3 in Japan, but nvm :P)
    Time: 6:30pm - 9:00pm
Place: Prince George's Park Residences (PGP), NUS, BBQ Pit 3 (nearest to the basketball court)

For those of you who are not familiar with PGP or NUS, below are some instructions you may find helpful:

To get to PGP, probably using bus 200 or 92 is recommended, as the Internal Shuttle Bus (ISB) is infrequent on Sat. You can get off at Buona Vista MRT Station, and then cross the road to reach the bus stop beside the Ministry of Education and Biopolis. Take bus 200 or 92 from there, and stop at the bus stop right after the first flyover, i.e. the flyover over the AYE expressway. From there, walk in the direction in which the bus was travelling, and turn right at the 1st road to the right. Then turn left right away. From there.... ah it'll probably be clearer from the map :P

Of any of you get lost, or will be late (which I think will occur the most :P) you can reach me at +65 97390735 (Khim Nyang), or even Imran at +65 96925144.

    Hope to see you there!

    First Posting From Imran

    Dear all,

This will be the first post from me! Yay!

I'm so glad that we have finally put to effect what we've been wanting to do for a while now, get our own space on the web, our very own homepage!

The journey with LC NUS has been a tiring one, with ups and downs, challenges, yet exciting too! As Adam told us at our Last LC Gathering on the 4th of Nov, we're at a turning point! I can so feel it, I see such a good bunch of enthusiastic members, a great EB team, and great support coming from the MC. From Matriculation fair to Induction to Jumpstart to Department Allocation and Tasks, things have not been smooth-sailing, but they have been going well indeed, definitely promising of a much bigger future!

I'm working with Khim and the rest now to get all the pictures that we have up online for all you guys to see! Also coming up, more entries, not from me(i'm too boring) but from the EBs and members!

    Stay tuned!
    Imran
